Pre-Professional Ballet Trainee Programs
The Pre-Professional Ballet Trainee Program at Central Utah Ballet is designed by nationally-renowned instructor and director, Jennie Creer-King. This program is a well-rounded ballet program that introduces students to a professional level of instruction, technique, & comprehensive skills to support professional pursuits, college programs, and more.
Pre-Professional Ballet Trainee Programs
Central Utah Ballet has created a pre-professional ballet trainee program to simulate a college and professional ballet experience. Each student will train in classical ballet, contemporary, modern, flamenco, and character technique. They will also learn ballet repertoire and re-staged classical ballets, experience the creative process of diverse choreographers, and perform in front of a live audience. Dancers will work directly with Jennie Creer-King, as well as nationally and internationally recognized instructors from Utah and across the country.
Dancers must audition for the ballet trainee program and will be placed in the Junior Company or Senior Company based on ability. Dancers selected will have combined classes and performances as well as opportunities specific to their company.

Central Utah Ballet’s Pre-Professional Ballet Program was designed by renowned instructor and director, Jennie Creer-King. The program is based on years of experience, training, and career programs from some of the most successful dancers in the industry. Dancers will master classical ballet technique while becoming proficient in a variety of supplemental dance techniques that will strengthen their skills and resumes.
Dancers will be able to meet and work with many well-known instructors, career ballerinas, and other successful ballet professionals. These professionals give a unique view and inside look to preparing for a professional ballet career or seeking college scholarships and other opportunities.
In addition to ballet technique and instruction, pre-professional ballet trainee students will participate in workshops to build life skills that will supplement their career success. This includes topics such as resume-building, nutrition, audition tips, and more.
