Jennifer Packham is a distinguished ballet professional with over four decades of experience as a dancer, choreographer, and educator, whose expertise and passion have profoundly shaped the ballet community.

She began her dance journey at age 3 and by the age of 13 she was dancing with the Utah Youth Ballet, later renamed Utah Regional Ballet (now Utah Metropolitan Ballet). As one of the inaugural company members to audition for the Pacific Regional Ballet Association—now Regional Dance America—Jennifer performed as a soloist, captivating audiences in leading roles in many original works and classical ballets, including Coppélia, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker. Her performances also extended to prestigious organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Rocky Mountain Ballet.

Jennifer has had the privilege of training and collaborating with esteemed choreographers and instructors, including William Christiansen, Jacqueline Colledge, Connie Burton, Mark Lanham, Derryl Yeager, Matthew Degnan, and Hugh Bigney. These partnerships have enriched her artistry and informed her dynamic approach to choreography and teaching.

With 37 years of teaching experience, Jennifer has imparted her expertise at renowned institutions such as Jacqueline’s School of Ballet, Centerstage, Wasatch Ballet Conservatory, Walden School of Liberal Arts, Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts, The Pointe Academy, and Lifehouse, among others. Her choreography and restaging of numerous works over the years reflect her deep commitment to preserving and advancing the art of ballet. From 2003 to 2009, she served as Assistant Artistic Director to Connie Burton at Rocky Mountain Ballet, and for six years, she taught at Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts, where she not only honed students’ technical skills but also inspired them to surpass their potential through her transformative Unconquerable Spirit seminar. This seminar, rooted in her belief in resilience and determination, draws parallels to the discipline and perseverance required in ballet, empowering students to overcome challenges in both dance and life.

As an educator, Jennifer is driven by a profound desire to inspire, offer hope, and foster growth. She finds immense fulfillment in witnessing her students’ technical and personal progress, guiding them to discover their inner strength and artistry. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes encouragement and motivation, creating an environment where dancers of all ages thrive.

In addition to her ballet career, Jennifer has taught Pilates at Pilates Revolution and for eight years online, enhancing her understanding of movement and body mechanics, which she integrates into her ballet instruction. She is currently authoring a book to provide hope and encouragement to those facing challenging circumstances, further extending her mission to uplift others.

Jennifer’s unwavering dedication to ballet and her ability to ignite passion and resilience in her students make her an invaluable asset to the dance community.
